When you get your copies of the credit reports, you need to go over them thoroughly to see if there are any discrepancies that may need to be corrected. Sometimes you may find that some entries will be duplicated and this can effect your over all credit rating. Next you would send a credit repair dispute letter to the companies that you found discrepancies from, asking them to correct the problem.
Once you have gone through any discrepancies, you will want to see what small bills you can take care of. This could be a returned check you forgot about or perhaps a small bill that you overlooked. If you had to file bankruptcy, keep in mind that this will appear on your credit report for 10 years. You will find that you can raise your credit score by doing the simple steps mentioned above. When you get to larger bills that need to be taken care of to get them off your credit report, you may want to contact who the debt is with and see if you can work out some arrangement. Many times, companies will do what is called a debt settlement. This is where you would pay a certain percentage of the debt and they will wipe out the rest of the debt. For instance, many medical bills will accept 60% of the bill and mark it paid in full.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
