Students in high school that are looking to start building their credit early can get high school student credit cards. These credits cards can help teach high school students financial responsibility, and how to manage their credit at an early age. These types of credit cards are issued to high school students, with a parent or guardian co-signing with the student. Students who have these types of student or prepaid credit cards also have a sense of responsibility as well.
Before applying for a high school student credit card, both students and co-signers should always look at their available options and many should start with prepaid credit cards because they work just like bank debit credit cards. There are a lot of banks and credit card companies to choose from, which makes it in your best interest to look around because Visa and Mastercard typically have the best options for many. Some credit cards will come with high APR and a high annual fee so if the student doesn’t have a job then these fees will add up, while some are more reasonable and this is why it is best for parents and students should decide which is best. With high school students not having any credit, some banks and companies will try to charge unreasonable rates, which is reason enough to do your research and know the best credit card deal can be.
Co-signers can normally help students to make the best decision because both parties have a vested interest. The co-signer will be signing on the application with the student, and will be the individual that the individual bank or credit card company will look to when the student is unable to pay the bill. Parents and co-signers will want know the best deals for these kinds of student credit cards, which is why students should always ask the co-signer for help when picking out the ideal credit card that best suites their needs.
For some students, prepaid credit cards can be an ideal investment. These credit cards hold absolutely no risk for students, while they help to teach financial management as well. With these high school student credit cards, the prepaid amount you have put on the credit card is your spending limit but also ensures if the student overspends then the money will not be available. To ensure that the credit card application form is filled out correctly, students should always have a parent or guardian assist them with filling the information out because this could mean being approved or denied.
When a student gets their credit card, they should be instructed on how to properly use the credit card and not to just spend all the money available. Although some students will be tempted to run up their high school student credit card, they should save it for emergency situations because many times individuals will not have such restraint when utilizing such a credit card. At the end of the month, they should try to pay their whole bill in full, to avoid getting into debt with the associated interest charges that these credit cards carry. If a student can pay the full credit card bill then it will also help boost their credit or help to establish the type of long term credit that they will need for the future.
If you are interested in a high school student credit card, you can always apply for one online. The online credit card applications are processed in a timely manner, normally giving you a response in a matter of minutes. Although credit cards are great to have, prepaid credit cards for teenagers are sometimes the way to go with students because they act just like an allowance and will set spending limits and guidelines for these credit cards that may need to looked at before moving to a student credit card that has high interest rates. If you are unsure if a student credit card is for you, make sure you look into all associated credit card options available to you and compare which is better. Always keep in mind that prepaid credit cards are a much better option for a younger person looking to learn the right ways to establish good spending habits.
Student credit cards should be looked at as a way to bring along a student slowly when dealing with future credit. As you all know anyone can get into trouble with credit cards mainly due to associated fees and high interest rates that come with these types of credit cards. In my experience prepaid credit cards help to show a better way for learning how to manage credit for teenagers. Although you may feel your teenager is ready for a credit card especially if they are ready for college. Just make sure when you co-sign any credit card application that these students are aware your credit will be affected by this as well so go over all aspects regarding pitfalls of not paying bills on time but make sure to stress the benefits of what having good credit can do for them in the long run.

This is getting a little bit more subjective, but I much favour the Zune Marketplace. The interface is multi-colored, has far more sparkle, and some awesome functions such as ‘Mixview’ that let you speedily see connected albums, tracks, or other users associated to what you might be hearing. Clicking on 1 of those will center on that item, and one more set of “neighbors” will come into view, permitting you to navigate around exploring by related artists, songs, or users. By the way, the Zune “Social” is also excellent fun, letting you find other people with shared preferences and getting friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created depending on an amalgamation of what all your friends are hearing, which can also be enjoyable. Individuals concerned with privacy will probably be relieved to learn you can stop the public from seeing your individual listening routines in case you so decide on.

Well, this is just my take on the matter. I’d rather use debit card that credit version. For me, it’s a surefire way to avoid getting ourselves into any credit card related mess like nerve wracking debt, sleepless nights and the toil of looking for debt elimination services or companies out there to absolve us from trouble.

Between me and my wife we’ve enjoyed more prepaid credit cards over time than we can count, including Netspend, Greendot, etc. But, the last few years we have found that this one is the best for our needs AccountNow Visa. Why? Because I was ecstatic to discover how well-designed and easy to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) AccountNow Visa’s are.
