Another single parent government grant available is the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF). The CCDF is a nationwide assistance program that is administrated by state governments. Each state has their own unique eligibility requirements, so a single parent must apply through their local town or county social service department in order to take full advantage of this government grant for single parents.
With the Child Care and Development Fund you may qualifying for this government grant requires that you are a single parent who needs child care in order to work, attend school or get job training. Your income limit has to be lower than the poverty limit set by your individual state and you have children younger than 13 years old or you have kids with special needs or are under some type of court supervision.
Another single parent government grant that is available is Medicaid. Many families can qualify for this excellent government grant for single parents. In general if you are single parent you should apply for Medicaid benefits which cover: pregnant women, kids and teenagers, people who are advanced in age or commonly known as seniors, blind or are disabled in some fashion. This government program will help out tremendously with medical expenses and lowered medical costs.
There is another government grant program for single parents is the Section 8 Voucher program. Vouchers are provided in a form of a government grant. This government grant allows single parents a way to live in better and more affordable housing. Also administrated at the local government level, this program subsidizes the difference between the money a single parent can pay and the actual rental fee.
