It is Never To Later To Learn How To Avoid Late Fees On Your Credit Cards
To say that avoiding late fees on your credit cards is easier said than done can be overstated, there is a lot of truth to people ruining their credit score due to missing payments and paying their credit card bills late. The late credit card fees can pile up and the interest rates can increase to a point that before you know it, you will not even be able to pay the minimum amount of the credit card payment. If you don’t do something fast, this could be the beginning of the end financially for you.
Obviously it would be in your best interest to make sure this don’t happen to you, so you should always pay your bill on time, and always avoid missing a payment. I know there are times when it can be very difficult to make your payments on time especially during these difficult time, although you should always do everything within your power to ensure that you stay on top of things regarding timely credit card payments. Below, you’ll find some tips to help you with your credit card payments.
As stated above, you should always pay your bill on time. If something comes up for example like losing your job and you aren’t able to pay, you’ll be penalized in more ways then one. Even though you may think that your circumstances will justify why you have a late payment, it doesn’t justify the means in the eyes of your credit card company because they will always point to your application and your signature as an agreement for the adjusted hikes in interest rates because of this. Inside of your credit card bill, you will find detailed instructions regarding payment and when they expect your payment. You should always follow these payment instructions as accurately as possible, pay where and when you are supposed to pay and do it on time, I know I am repeating myself but really pay your credit bill on time.
If you simply are not able to pay your entire bill each month but you should not worry about it because paying the minimum balance amount will okay because you are making a payment and the credit card company will be happy and not hike up your interest rates. Even though you may be able to pay more later, you should always pay at least the minimum amount and that is very important. When you have more money available to apply toward your overall credit card balance, you can always add to your minimum payment by sending in an additional payment to pay down the principle balance.
The easiest way to do this, is to always have the minimum payment amount set aside when your completing your budget for the month, so that you have it once your credit card bill arrives so you will be able to send it immediately. Once you have paid your credit card bill payment on time you have assured yourself that you won’t be penalized or charged any late fees, but your goal should be paying a higher amount above the minimum balance because the sooner your overall credit card balance is paid off you will have more freed up money at your disposal. Although by paying the minimum credit card amount, you will also ensure that no other fees will be added to your next credit card bill.
Another otherwise overlooked option could be to include skipping a payment, although you will need to check with your credit card company if this is offered. This particular service will allow you to request a waiver regarding your credit card payment meaning when something comes up and you don’t have the money to pay your bill then this service will allow for you to transfer your payment to the end overall balance. Make sure that you use this service wisely if you have it, as it can only be used once a year so do not think that you will be able to accomplish this continuously. Therefore, you should always ensure that the situation is truly an emergency and there are no other options available for you. This service will have an associated cost as well so do not think they will offer this for free, and you will need to pay for that service the following month so be aware of this when you use this feature.
Although credit cards are great for many reasons, you should always know your interest rates and have a good general idea of what your credit card bill is going to be before you make a purchase because the adverse affects on your minimum payments and overall interest rate hikes are not nearly as fun to deal with as those commercials that show people who can smile about it. Also being one of those people who carries credit cards and makes various purchases, knowing they can not make the minimum credit card payments, and therefore experience suffering and pain when they get the credit card bill and aren’t able to pay it because they had no will power and experience impulse buying urges.
Anytime you have a credit card, you should always make sure that you have the money to pay the bill, or the minimum amount, the minute it arrives so you can avoid late fees on your credit cards. This ensures you will remain in good standing with your credit card company and your credit score will continue to increase because you are showing good payment history. If you simply aren’t able to make your credit card payments, you should contact your credit card company issuer immediately and attempt to work something out with them. Keeping the lines of communication open are just as important as paying on time.

Thanks for writing about a very relevant topic. Most tenderfoot entrepreneurs nowadays promote and offer and sell whatever they can without even having a concrete idea of what things to prioritize. Keep them coming!

There are several advantages to shopping online, the first one being the ability to shop at a time that is convenient to you, not just when the shops are open. The second advantage of shopping online is that goods are often cheaper as the seller does not have the costs of running a shop and having to pay wages to salespeople, insurance and all of the other running costs of a real world business.
